Vertex Light Mapper is our in-house lightmapping tool built for BallisticNG and its subsequent Ballistic Unity Tools. After BallisticNG is out of Early Access we will be developing a more streamlined version and releasing it free for all Unity users to utilize. Watch this space!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Vertex Light Mapper wears it’s functionality on its sleeve. The tool simulates light and bakes the information into vertex colors, vertex-lit shaders can then use this information to tint meshes. Application of the tool is focused on building retro looking environments.
